Shoo Fly Raffle Quilt Workshop with Blaire Gagnon and Paula Weston
May 17 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

At the May workshop, we will work on piecing Shoofly Blocks for the 2026 raffle quilt. This will also be a technique class because we will be demonstrating how one can piece these blocks accurately using a variety of methods. Paula Weston and I, and others will illustrate the techniques we use. While the block is simple, its beauty is in its precision. So this is a perfect time to learn how to cut, piece, and trim blocks accurately so you do not lose your points. The larger quilt design is Pat Sloan’s Shoo Fly quilt that she designed for the Secret Life of Color sew along that completes blocks in 3 finished sizes 3″, 6″ & 9″ Pat Sloan Shoofly block 3 sizes.dpp. Here is a link to her project page with images of the quilt. 2022 The Secret Lives of Color – Pat Sloan’s I Love To Make Quilts.
